It’s worth noting that Nintendo held onto the top spot with revenue. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia contributed to that.
ARMS sold roughly 100,000 copies in its first three days on the Japanese market, based on the latest information from sales trackers. Dengeki and Media Create now share extra information about how the game did.
Dengeki’s data has ARMS selling through 70 percent of its initial shipment. It’s the third solid first week sales for a Switch game after Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (355,000 first week, total 576,000) and Zelda: Breath of the Wild (204,000 first week, total 490,000).
Nintendo teamed up with Kansai International Airport for a special promotion this weekend. Those who stopped by can see promotional images throughout the area as well as a special exhibit with playable games on Switch, 3DS, and mobile.

A few new games out came out this week on the Wii U and 3DS eShops. If you’re interested in checking out what’s new in screenshot form, take a look at the gallery below.
This week brought us a first look at Europe’s special Metroid: Samus Returns Legacy Edition. It features all sorts of goodies, ranging from an art book to a steelbook modeled after the original Game Boy Color release.

It was rumored a couple of years ago that MercurySteam attempted to pitch a Metroid game for Wii U and 3DS. Then in 2016, the studio denied that report. What makes things really interesting is that, last week, Nintendo and MercurySteam announced Metroid: Samus Returns for 3DS.
So what happened here? Liam Robertson, who reported on the rumor originally, shared his latest findings in a new video.
The Dangerous Kitchen will be putting out its new game De Mambo on the Switch eShop next Thursday. There’s lots of footage in the video below with an hour of gameplay.
Depending on which sales tracker you go with, Switch has now surpassed one million units sold in Japan. Media Create has it just under that amount for the week ending June 18, though it’s surely gone past that mark by now. Dengeki also officially says sales are over one million.
Switch took sixteen weeks to reach one million, according to Dengeki’s data. Sales for Wii and Wii U were at 1.85 million and 820,000 units respectively at the same point.
