During E3, Yacht Club Games kindly took time out of their busy schedule to meet with us for a one-on-one interview. Among the topics we discussed, pixel artist and animator Sandy Gordon revealed a design philosophy to Nintendo Everything which they made ample use of throughout development of the upcoming Shovel Knight: King of Cards expansion.

Nintendo has published a new interview with Daemon X Machina producer Kenichiro Tsukuda. During the discussion, Tsukuda spoke about player feedback the team has received, emphasizing an improved frame rate, how the game’s visual style was determined, and more.

In a recent issue of Famitsu, a big interview was published with Splatoon 2 producer Hisashi Nogami. Nogami reflected on the game’s second year of updates and activity, the final Splatfest (including why there wasn’t a Pearl vs. Marina showdown), what lies ahead for the future, and more.

Nintendo and Intelligent Systems have just published a new Feh Channel presentation for Fire Emblem Heroes.

Here are some of the highlights:

Like the rest of the world, Nintendo is extending the Game Trials program for Nintendo Switch Online members to North America. The first game to be included is Mario Tennis Aces.

Between August 7 and August 13, Nintendo Switch Online subscribers will be able to play the full title for free. Progress can then be carried over to the full version. If you like what you play, you can purchase Mario Tennis Aces at a 30% discount until August 20.

Luigi's Mansion 3

Gamescom 2019 is just a few weeks away, and Nintendo has now started to tease its plans for the show. During the event, the company will provide “a series of in-depth looks at several already-announced titles launching in 2019, including Luigi’s Mansion 3, Astral Chain, and The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening.”

Videos will be published between August 20 and August 22. Nintendo says that experts will highlight gameplay for the following games:

Marvelous revealed today several titles they’ll be publishing in Europe over the next couple of months. We knew that most of these would be coming West in some form, but we now have concrete details and an official confirmation. The games in question are Rune Factory 4 Special, BurgerTime Party!, Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin, and  Heroland. The full press release from Marvelous is below, which also includes some new trailers:
