The cosmos has always been fascinating. From our blue dot, Earth, being able to look up and see the stars shine, it’s natural to wonder what’s out there or what it’d be like to walk on other planets or visit other solar systems first hand. It’s because of this that I’ve always found sci-fi and space exploration intriguing regardless of the medium helping to bring those thoughts and galaxies to fruition with our imagination. Titles like Mass Effect, Elite Dangerous, Everspace, No Man’s Sky, and so much more have helped bring us as close as possible to experiencing the extraterrestrial within the comfort of our own homes (with significantly less danger) and laid the foundation as well as continue to push various ideas on what lies beyond the exosphere in a variety of different ways. Starlink: Battle for Atlas takes the best parts of space exploration, planetary farming, star battles, and more and brings them together in a way that’s immersive both in and out of the game with a toys-to-life approach that, surprisingly, doesn’t actually need any toys to be enjoyed to its fullest.

The September 2018 NPD report might have been mostly quiet in terms of Nintendo news, but one related nugget of information has emerged. Through 2018 so far, Nintendo is actually the best-selling publisher of the year when it comes to software.

The bulk of Nintendo’s sales may very well come during the holiday season. The company is saving a couple of big guns for the holiday in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu / Eevee. Various Switch bundles are also planned, which should provide a nice hardware boost.

Machinarium

Machinarium will arrive on Switch next week, a Japanese eShop listing has revealed. The adventure game had previously been confirmed for Switch during the summer.

Here’s an overview and trailer for Machinarium:

Smash Bros. is no stranger to rumored leaks. Some have been true, but many have been fake. One of the most well-known, accurate leak took place a few weeks before the launch of Smash Bros. Wii U / 3DS, in which characters and more were outed by someone connected to the ESRB.

With Super Smash Bros. Ultimate about a month and a half out away from release, the game is rumored to have been affected by its own leak. The final set of unannounced characters have apparently been revealed – supposedly anyway. We’ll be posting all of the information below, but beware of spoilers.
