Publisher PQube and developer Kadokawa Games have revealed the western release date for Root Letter. North America is getting the visual novel on September 3, while Europe will have it on August 30.

Also announced today is the game’s Day-One-Edition. Those who pre-order or get it at launch will receive a special edition including a beautiful 100 pages artbook with unreleased pieces.

Famitsu posted a new preview for Fire Emblem: Three Houses today. The article contains a ton of new information as well as some new screenshots, which you can view below. We’ve summarized the most important bits (credit goes to BlackKite for the translation):

Today’s featured Fire Emblem: Three Houses character is Ashe of the Blue Lions house. Born a commoner, he was adopted by Lord Ronato, head of the Caspard territory in the Holy Kingdom. As such, Ashe has a great amount of respect for Lord Ronato, and he studies and trains hard so that he can live up to his adopted father. He’s voiced by Yuuki Inoue.

Original: As we heard about earlier today, a new update for Splatoon 2 has gone live. Nintendo is now distributing version 4.8.0.

The official patch notes are not currently available. When we have them, we’ll update this post.

The Pokemon Company is planning a new Detective Pikachu game for Switch, the company has announced during its press conference today. It will continue the events set after the original title on 3DS.

Further information has not yet been shared at this time.
