Nintendo UK made a big deal out of its new pre-order bonus – the musical treasure chest – for The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. In fact, series producer Eiji Aonuma and Nintendo president Satoru Iwata went out of their way to promote the item in a special Vine clip.
But here’s the thing – we’re now hearing GAME won’t be offering the item, even though Nintendo named it as the retailer you could obtain the treasure chest from.
Tweets published by GAME yesterday read:
(1/3) You may have seen last night @NintendoUK tweeted about a pre-order chest item for The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds.

(2/3) We have no pre-order bonus to announce but BUT you can be sure we're working with Din, Nayru & Farore to bring you something special…

(3/3) Until then, feast your eyes on this special LoZ: A Link Between Worlds #3DSXL available to pre-order tomorrow! http://t.co/HzouDGpW80

It’s unclear how the pre-order item will be handled at present. Perhaps it’ll shift to another retailer?
If you plan on downloading Wii Party U, you’ll need to reserve roughly 5.414GB (5514MB) of space. That’s how big the European version is, and the North American release should be very similar in size. Wii Party U will also be offered at retail.

You may have noticed how VD-Dev’s website contains a Wii U logo. Does that mean the IronFall team has plans to develop for Nintendo’s home console in addition to the 3DS? Unfortunately, that would be a no.
We did receive confirmation from VD-Dev that the studio is authorized to make games for Wii U and PS Vita. However, there are “no plans” to get involved with either system at this time.
