Those who purchase the Wii U version of Rodea: The Sky Solider will be treated to a special bonus. NIS America is including a copy of the original Wii title, which was how creator Yuji Naka envisioned the game.
In Japan, the Wii version had its own separate disc. We weren’t sure if this would be the case in the west as well, but NIS America has since confirmed this to be the case.
The publisher wrote on Twitter today:
Public #Rodea Announcement! The Wii version of the game will indeed be on its own physical disc bundled with first-print Wii U versions!

It’ll be interesting to see what NIS America does with the Wii boxart. Will they use the Japanese version (see above), or something new?
Nintendo uploaded another video from Mario Kart 8 today. This time around, we get a look at the Mute City track with the 200cc class.
Check out the new video below.
Update 2 (4/13): Smash Bros. 3DS also price-matched on Amazon. Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. is also available for $33.49.
Update: Majora’s Mask price-matched on Amazon.
There are a few sales taking place over at Best Buy. First up, you can save $5 on Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D, Super Smash Bros. for 3DS, and Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. Best Buy also has Watch Dogs for $20. All of these prices should be valid through April 18.
Update: The dream seems to be dead (thanks EdLambdaTeos). This goes back as far as November of last year, with a GameFAQs member claiming to have found a file with similar contents as what’s posted below. The same user said last week that he made the whole thing up. Doh!
Mario Kart 8 has a file system with a listing of tracks and corresponding streaming audio. Following the release of the game’s first round of DLC, there were 8 tracks in the pack and 13 entries.
Here’s a listing of what we received from the initial batch of downloadable content:
GC_YOSHI_CIRCUIT = GCN Yoshi Circuit
SFC_RAINBOW_ROAD = SNES Rainbow Road
WII_WARIOSMINE = Wii Wario’s Gold Mine
WU_DRAGONROAD = Dragon Driftway
WU_EXCITEBIKE = Excitebike Arena
WU_HYRULE = Hyrule Circuit
WU_ICEPARK = Ice Ice Outpost
WU_MUTECITY = Mute City
These tracks were also included, but did not show up as DLC:
3DS_NEOBOWSERCITY = 3DS Neo Bowser City
GC_BABYPARK = GCN Baby Park
WU_ANIMAL = Animal Crossing
WU_METRO = ?
WU_WOODS = ?
Could these tracks be featured in the next wave of Mario Kart 8 DLC? This is complete speculation at the moment, but if it’s accurate, we could be seeing tracks like Neo Bowser City and Baby Park. People are also wondering if “Metro” could be implying “Metroid”, but I’m not too sure at the moment!
Tabletop Gallery is hitting the European Wii U eShop later this week. If you plan on downloading the title, note that it requires 74 MB of space.
Tabletop Gallery actually includes three games. Rather than releasing them separately like in North America, RCMADIAX decided to bundle Poker Dice Solitaire Future, Shut the Box, and Toss N Go together for Europe.
Marvelous has now sent out another round of details about PoPoLoCrois Farm Story, which cover quests, StreetPass, and characters. View the full batch of information below.
Quests
During your adventure, you’ll come across a number of people in need of your help. By resolving their requests, you’ll be able to earn various items as an expression of their gratitude. Quests include taking out monsters, harvesting crops, etc.
StreetPass
StreetPass is a supported feature that will work as you progress through the story. When passing other players, you’ll receive “Treasure Maps” from them. By heading to the location pin-pointed on the map, you’ll be able to find items that will prove useful on your adventure.
The Girls of PoPoLoCrois Farm Story
You’ll be able to talk to, present gifts to, and communicate with the girls of the towns and villages you come across during your adventure. Making friends with these girls will have its benefits. For example, you can get special items that will help both on your journey and on your farm. These girls will also help look after your crops while you’re away.
Lela (voiced by Mamiko Noto) – A girl of Matthew Village. She has a pure personality and loves making things.
Claudia (voiced by Emiri Kato) – A girl of Zone Village. She is quiet and serious, and dreams of studying in a large town.
Emilia (voiced by Chiwa Sato) – A girl of Rampling Village. She’s strong-minded and energetic, and mines ore with her father.
