Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa was recently interviewed by Nikkei. Furukawa shared some interesting comments when asked about the risk of being in the entertainment industry, his approach in leading the company, the tough task of innovating, and fluctuations in business performance.

Last year, Zelda: Breath of the Wild received a soundtrack release in Japan. It was packed with a few goodies, including a booklet containing a special interview. Sound designer Hajime Wakai along with composers Manaka Kataoka, Yasuaki Iwata, and Soshi Abe had plenty to say about the game’s music.

New Totaka’s Song Easter egg found in Pikmin 2

Totaka’s Song has been hiding in Nintendo games for nearly three decades. One example is in Pikmin 2, in which the melody can be heard on the Treasures Salvaged screen once you’ve cleared a cave after close to four minutes.
Speaking of Pikmin 2, Totaka’s Song has again been found in that title, but in a different place. If you sit on the cave sublevel memory card warning screen, after around three minutes, the tune will start playing.

Nintendo now has a few different mobiles games available. How did they do in 2018? Sensor Tower provides a closer look in its analysis today.
According to Sensor Tower, Nintendo’s mobile offerings generated almost $117 million worldwide in Q4 2018. That’s a 47% rise compared to the same period the year prior. On the whole, Nintendo collected $348 million in 2018, which is an increase of 15% year-over-year.

UK’s best-selling games of 2018 revealed, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe sells more than in 2017

New information has been published that reveals the UK’s best-selling games of 2018. Not only that, but we have actual concrete data for each title.
One of the more interesting tidbits concerns Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. That title ended up selling more in 2018 (458,675 copies) compared to 2017 (341,531 copies).
