The physical version of Rime for Switch is seeing a tiny delay. It’s now planned for November 17, the same day as the European release. Note that the digital version is unaffected and remains on track for November 14.

In its announcement, the Rime team cited “unforeseen production delays in Japan”. This was partially due to Typhoon Lan.

Lichtspeer: Double Speer Edition isn’t the only Switch game from Crunching Koalas with an update. A new patch is out for Butcher, too. The game has been upgraded to version 1.0.1.

The new Butcher update is primarily intended to fix crashes. Crunching Koalas also eliminated three white pixels that were appearing in the left-lower corner.

3DS is getting two more Pokemon games next month in Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. However, they aren’t entirely new. Both build upon last year’s original Pokemon Sun/Moon. Game Freak has decided to introduce another pair of Sun/Moon titles, following a similar approach to Black 2/White 2 rather than something like Pokemon Crystal or Pokemon Platinum in which a single follow-up game was introduced.

Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon director Kazumasa Iwao spoke with GameSpot about the idea behind these latest games and why making two versions made sense. Here’s what he shared on the subject:

We don’t have a whole lot of information at present, but KORG Gadget is coming to Switch. It’s being advertised at the M3 event in Japan this weekend. Material at the show reveals the Switch title, along with a Spring 2018 launch window.

KORG has appeared on both 3DS and DS over the years. Basically, it’s music creation software.

KORG Gadget has previously appeared on Mac and iOS. It comes with 30 small synthesizers and “gadget” drum machines. You’re able to “freely combine these to produce anything from powerful electronic music to rock music.” The Switch version will seemingly allow four people to collaborate on music creation.
