Niantic has announced a series of Throwback Challenge events for Pokemon GO. Players will be able to partake in Timed Research lines with limited-time tasks. There will be a total of eight sets, each with three tasks.

Each week will offer different tasks themed around different regions of the Pokemon world. When the different regions are featured, Pokemon that were originally discovered there will appear more frequently. Complete the Timed Research sets in Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh to unlock the Throwback Challenge Champion 2020 Special Research, in which Rare Candies, Professor Willow’s glasses, and more can be earned. Genesect, Galarian Meowth, and Galarian Stunfisk will also appear.

Panzer Dragoon: Remake appears to be off to a strong start. According to publisher Forever Entertainment, revenue earned during the first weekend following launch more than doubled the cost of development. That includes sales from the eShop as well as pre-ordered from Limited Run Games’ physical version.

Forever Entertainment’s Zbigniew Dębicki says that Panzer Dragoon: Remake is exceeding the company’s expectations. Specific sales data was not provided, however.

There are still significant plans for Panzer Dragoon: Remake. Last week, we heard about a big patch that will offer 60 frames per second, reduced input lag, and more. We have all of the details here.

If you’re interested in getting the Animal Crossing amiibo cards right now, you might be out of luck. They’re pretty much impossible to come by regardless of your region. That includes Japan, where the only place to obtain any cards seems to be auction sites. And of course, the asking price there is incredibly high.

The good news is, at least in Japan, Nintendo says it has plans to restock amiibo cards. All series will be available aside from the special Sanrio collaboration series.

Animal Crossing amiibo cards are compatible with New Horizons. After scanning an amiibo, players can place models in creative photo shoots. A poster of the character can also be ordered from Nook Shopping. Not all characters work currently, but Nintendo has said future updates will support more villagers.
