After it was first made known in August, the Switch version of Brawlout released on Switch this week. It was confirmed a few days ago that a patch is due out very soon. The update is arriving “shortly after launch which addresses any minor frame stutters or crashes”.
Interestingly, it seems there’s a bit more to the patch. Angry Mob Games shared a few more details with fans over on Reddit.

It’s been a busy year for Nintendo and Switch, with many titles launching on the platform since its debut in March. With 2017 coming to a close, Nintendo has decided to share a listing of the system’s best-selling games this year. Sort of. There are a couple of caveats to consider.
But first, on with the list:
Inti Creates is celebrating the holidays in Azure Striker Gunvolt: Striker Pack. For two days only, players will be able to partake in Christmas Mode on Switch.
The mode will be around on December 24 and December 25 only. In it, presents will be appearing all over, and it’ll be your duty to collect as many as possible while taking on enemies.
More information about Christmas Mode can be found below.
The next major update for ARMS will be available tomorrow, Nintendo has announced. It will be highlighted by the addition of a brand new fighter who was teased over the weekend.
Aside from the latest character, Nintendo hasn’t said much about ARMS version 5.0.0. We should have details very soon at least.
Footage has emerged giving us a good look at the first wave of DLC for Fire Emblem Warriors based on Fire Emblem Fates. Have a look at some gameplay below.

Set in a far-future interpretation of one of the oldest pieces of western literature, The Next Penelope has an engaging aesthetic wrapper for its gameplay mixture of top-down shooter and Micro Machines style racing. As novel as space Poseidon might be, these narrative elements are also its flimsiest facet. The snippets of dialogue that are peppered throughout the game’s five main major challenges fumble with some inelegant wording, odd grammar, and a few comma splices. The premise isn’t given the space to develop into much beyond passing references to the Odyssey. Fortunately, this is all just window dressing – the game’s hectic arcade-style shooting fares much better in blending somewhat dissonant gameplay concepts. It comes together as an impressively well constructed genre hybrid.
