Minecraft stole the market for the kind of LEGO game that as a kid, I, and I’m sure many others dreamed of. LEGO was my go-to toy, but those bricks are expensive. It only takes one missing piece or one wrong brick color to throw a whole construction project off. At least for a kid who was a little too detail obsessed.

Earlier this week, we heard that Crypt of the NecroDancer: Nintendo Switch Edition is in the works. Further news has come in since then.

First, in Japan, it looks like Spike Chunsoft will be publishing. It’s targeted for this winter in the country, so we should be seeing it around the same time in the west.

We have a trailer for Crypt of the NecroDancer: Nintendo Switch Edition below.

Nintendo has opened the Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions teaser site. Access it here.

If you visit the Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions site, you can watch a trailer and view some screenshots. A rundown of features is also included. The full site for the game should open soon.

GamesRadar recently caught up for an interview with Suda51 for all things Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes. Although there was talk about the upcoming Switch game, Suda51 took some time to reflect on the series as a whole.

One noteworthy part of the discussion came about while Suda51 commented on No More Heroes being accepted in the west compared to Japan. He said that there has “definitely” been a “much more positive reaction” in North America and Europe. Although the reaction in Japan hasn’t been particularly bad, it perhaps hasn’t been as warmly received due to its violent nature and blood.

Suda51 said:

Nintendo added several posts to its Japanese blog this week to highlight games featured in the new Nintendo Direct. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 was among them.

Towards the end of the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 post, director Tetsuya Takahashi left a message. In it, he talks about how the team is working on bug fixes and final adjustments. Takahashi also mentioned that Xenoblade Chronicles 2 has an “enormous amount of quests and in-game content”. There’s also much more to come than what’s been shown, and different areas / situations will have unique battle themes.

Nintendo Australia sat down with a Ubisoft representative to talk in-depth about the collaborative nature of Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. Check out the full video below.

With roughly two weeks to go until release, Yo-kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters can now be pre-loaded on the North American 3DS eShop. 21,039 blocks of free space are required for the download. That’s just over 2.5GB.

Pre-loading lets you get ready for launch by purchasing in advance and downloading most game data. Then when Nintendo officially puts the game on the eShop, you’ll only need a small update to begin playing.

With just a short while to go before FIFA 18’s launch, EA Sports has updated the official boxart. It’s reflected on the official site, and is beginning to appear at retailers as well.

Below was the original boxart for comparison:

We have a few more details about Minecraft: New 3DS Edition from a developer live stream hosted after this week’s Nintendo Direct. The information comes max world size and more.

Here’s the roundup of information for Minecraft: New 3DS Edition:

– Max world size is 2016×2016 (small worlds on Switch are 900x900ish and largest are about 3000×3000)
– Based on Pocket Edition 0.15.4, which launched July 2016, has every feature the game did as of that release
– Due to above, no The End yet, but does have the Nether
– Redstone contraptions work as expected, they had memory-eating bugs with them at one point but got them all squashed
– They plan on lots of updates over the course of the next 6-8 months, for example targeting 0.16 and adding ocean monuments and associated blocks
– No cross play or world sharing, this is a totally new and different build of the game unique to 3DS
– Mouselook with c-stick including invert Y-axis if you want, other options like view bobbing off, auto-jump
– Map is always active on the bottom screen
– Comes with standard textures, plastic, and city, plus many character skins

Nintendo appears to be readying restocks of three Link amiibo. CPSIA certificates for the original Smash Bros. Link, 8-bit Link, and Majora’s Mask Link have been updated. Each one had an additional run of manufacturing in August.

CPSIA pages naturally don’t mention when restocks will be taking place, but these Link amiibo should be showing up again soon. Keep your eyes peeled for movement at retailers in the weeks ahead.
