GameSpot recently spoke with Diablo III Eternal Collection producer Pete Stilwell and associate producer Matt Cederquist about all things Switch. The two discussed how the system’s various features make it “the next evolution”, Diablo III’s tech specs on the platform, scrapped touch controls, and more.

Stilwell first had this to say about Switch and what it brings to the table for Diablo III:

With Valkyria Chronicles 4 out in September and the demo available right now, I thought this might be the perfect opportunity to discuss this unique tactical RPG. Sharing similarities to some of Nintendo’s biggest games, Valkyria Chronicles 4 may just be the game Nintendo fans have been asking for. Is it for everyone? Probably not, but this video might help you figure out if it’s for you. Please enjoy and to join the conversation, tell me about your favorite tactics game of old!

More tidbits have emerged from Shigeru Miyamoto’s keynote at CEDEC 2018. Miyamoto spoke about some of the problems that arose while making Super Mario Run, being surprised by Pokemon GO’s success, and more.

Here’s the rundown, courtesy of Siliconera:

Minit

Today we’re kicking off the final giveaway as part of the #SummerOfDevolverDigital promotion – at least for now. Following up on Enter the Gungeon, Crossing Souls, and Not a Hero, we’re now putting the focus on Minit. Ten codes are up for grabs once again, and we’ll be splitting them up in two ways.

The first option is to enter on Twitter. Give us a follow and re-tweet this post in order to be eligible. We’ll be choosing five random winners from that batch.

Yacht Club has been quiet as of late, but that’ll be changing very soon. The studio has teased a “first look at an all new game coming to Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove” that will be revealed next week.

We’re not sure when exactly the news will drop, though we’ll let you know as soon as it’s shared – which will come from IGN. Yacht Club will likely have a presence at PAX West and may even have a presence in the upcoming Nindies Showcase, so stay tuned.

Dust: An Elysian Tail

During E3 earlier this summer, Humble Hearts and Limited Run Games revealed that Dust: An Elysian Tail is coming to Switch. We now have a release date for the title. Nintendo’s website has it down for September 10.

Dust: An Elysian Tail, which is critically acclaimed, is an action RPG set “in a gorgeous hand-painted world on a search for your true identity.” We have more details and a trailer below.

Bethesda has published a number of different games on Switch thus far, including The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Doom, Wolfenstein II, and Fallout Shelter. The company isn’t stopping there having recently confirmed that Doom Eternal will be on the console. This time around, the Switch version will drop alongside other platforms.

IGN brought up the Doom Eternal Switch news with Bethesda’s Pete Hines in an interview this week. Speaking about the decision to announce the game for Nintendo’s console out of the gate, he stated:

Daemon X Machina

A few weeks ago, we translated a 4Gamer interview conducted with producer Kenichiro Tsukuda. The site actually ended up bringing back Tsukuda for a second interview, who was also joined by mech designer Shoji Kawamori. Topics include the game’s origins, designing the mechs, and more on the visual style including making the graphics stand out.

We’ve prepared a full translation of 4Gamer’s Daemon X Machina interview. Continue on below for the discussion.

Deemo

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was the first Nintendo game to be updated with Nintendo Labo support. As for third-party titles, we’re starting to finally see some movement on that front.

Nintendo’s Japanese website reveals that Deemo will soon be compatible with Labo. You’ll be able to use the Toy-Con Piano to play some of the songs with an update scheduled for October.

Rounding out today’s Xenoblade Chronicles 2 news is a brand new story trailer for Torna – The Golden Country. Watch it below.
