[Let’s Talk] March 2018 Nintendo Direct reactions
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, Let's Talk, Switch | 0 comments
Another Nintendo Direct is in the books. Many announcements were made for Switch, but even 3DS saw a bit of love with some surprise reveals.
Super Smash Bros. obviously stole the show. But other than that, we heard about more free content and a brand new expansion for Splatoon 2, plus Switch versions of Captain Toad, Okami HD, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, Undertale, South Park: The Fractured But Whole, and Little Nightmares: Complete Edition. Over on 3DS, Nintendo pulled back the curtain on a Luigi’s Mansion and Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story remakes as well as WarioWare Gold. That’s not everything either, as we even saw news such as a new Dark Souls amiibo.
Now that the dust has settled on the Nintendo Direct, how’s everyone feeling about it? Did the presentation live up to your expectations? Were you disappointed? What were your favorite announcements? Let us know in the comments below.
UK sales for February 2018
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 0 comments
New sales data is in from the UK for the month of February.
Even though the month was slow, February 2018 was actually more successful for boxed games retailers than the year prior. Software sales increased to 1.2 million games sold while revenue generated from these games rose 6% to £36.5 million.
We can thank Switch for the increase, as the console accounted for 14.5% of all the games sold last month. Also, Nintendo placed second in the publisher rankings with a 13.3% share of the market. In 2017, Wii U had a 1.8% share of the market, and Nintendo was the fourth-ranked publisher.

Toys for Bob working on the new Switch version of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 0 comments
Activision originally brought in Vicarious Visions to create Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. While the collection lined up for Switch is still very much their work, a separate developer appears to be on board for the Switch release. Toys for Bob, known for the Skylanders series, is helping to put Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy for Switch – at least that’s what Nintendo’s website says.
Vicarious Visions could have its hands busy with a separate project. Based on what we’ve seen of the Switch version of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy though, there shouldn’t be much to worry about.
