Omega Force’s specialty is the Musou genre. The developer is known for its franchises such as Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors. That hack-and-slash gameplay has also extended into other IPs like Zelda with Hyrule Warriors, One Piece with One Piece: Pirate Warriors, and more.

Omega Force’s latest project is Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers, but it’s not the same kind of Musou gameplay we’re used to seeing. It’s more of an action-RPG rather than pure hack-and-slash with a focus on story.

Koei Tecmo director Kazutoshi Sekiguchi explained how the project evolved during development, telling Dengeki PlayStation:

One of the big announcements coming out of the last Indie World Showcase was Sports Story. Building off of the highly successful Golf Story, Sidebar Games’ next project will have even more sports and activities to do such as dungeon exploring and fishing.

We recently caught up with developer Andrew Newey to learn more about what to expect from Sports Story. We have information on improvements that have been made following feedback from Golf Story, how fishing will play out, and tidbits on “stealthy infiltrations”. Newey also teased something like GALF for the new game, multiplayer support, a possible physical version, and more.

Fans have always embraced former Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime. There are many reasons for that, but memorable quotes, moment, and memes certainly plays a part of that.

During a recent episode of the Present Value podcast, Reggie weighed in on what becoming a meme means to him. Here’s what he shared on that front:

The Norwegian Consumer Council raised issues with Nintendo over the inability to cancel eShop pre-orders in February 2018. Following that, the German Consumer Protection Authority (VZBV) took Nintendo to court at the end of the year.

A verdict has now been reached, and Nintendo has won the case. The German courts determined that not allowing cancellation of pre-orders is legal. Although the decision has been appealed, there may not be movement with the case for up to a year and a half.

Once a game has been pre-loaded from the eShop, consumers are unable to cancel that purchase. Even if the game hasn’t been released, you’re still required to follow through on that order. This was thought to be in violation of Norwegian and European law, but the courts thought otherwise in this case.

Thanks to Jake for the tip.
