Nintendo and HAL Laboratory have just revealed a third update coming to Kirby Star Allies.

New Dream Friends include Magolor, Taranza, and Susie. They stem from Kirby’s Return to Dream Land, Kirby Triple Deluxe, and Kirby: Planet Robobot respectively.

PAX Australia has been and gone for another year and us gamers will now go back to playing the game we know best, the waiting game. Luckily for me, I had the opportunity to chat with some folk who made it down to Australia’s largest gaming convention. This interview is with Lindsay Wells and Ian Lewis from Giant Margarita; developers of Party Golf, Party Crashers, and recently announced Party Poppers. If you enjoy playing with friends in the same room, lots of customization, and bananas, then this series is for you. Please enjoy the interview!

Two new trailers are live for Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu / Eevee. As usual, we have videos in English in Japanese, and both are attached below. The clips show battling against Team Rocket, the Elite Four, and more.

In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, fans have noticed that Mr. Game & Watch has a new forward smash. While it was an attempt at being true to Nintendo’s old LCD game handhelds, it unfortunately involves an offensive stereotype.

Back in 1982, Nintendo made a cowboy game titled Fire Attack in which players defend a wooden fort from screaming Native Americans who wield burning torches and wear feathers in their hair. Mr. Game & Watch has a move referencing the game. After it was brought to the company’s attention, Nintendo has vowed to release an update removing the feather from Mr. Game & Watch in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Gris

Nomada Studio and Devolver Digital have announced a release date for GRIS, “a serene and evocative narrative experience”. On Switch, it’ll be out on December 13 as a digital download.

Here’s an overview:

Today has been an interesting day for the Super Mario Bros. movie. There hasn’t been a ton of news about the film itself, but we’ve heard Illumination CEO Chris Meledandri talking about the project.

All of today’s comments came from a Variety report. The site snuck in an interesting little tidbit that has since been making the rounds, specifically regarding a release window. Variety states that the Mario movie “will be in theaters by 2022.”

Nintendo nor Illumination have not provided an official release window. But since Variety was speaking with Meledandri, perhaps the publication was given that timeline directly.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate director Masahiro Sakurai normally doesn’t tweet in English, but he made the rare exception today. A pair of messages address the DLC situation surrounding the Switch game.

Sakurai confirmed that the DLC lineup for Smash Bros. Ultimate is complete and the selection was done entirely by Nintendo. With Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, you may recall that a ballot was held so that fan feedback could be collected in determining how to proceed with certain characters.

Shigeru Miyamoto

Earlier today, we heard Illumination CEO Chris Meledandri speaking about the challenges of making a Mario movie. He actually had a bit more to say about the project, including Shigeru Miyamoto’s role.

As we know, Miyamoto is acting as a producer. Meledandri says that Illumination is “keeping him front and center in the creation of this film.”
