LEGO Super Mario

The creation of LEGO Super Mario has been a long process for both LEGO and Nintendo. Since 2015, the two sides have been working together to see how they could bring a unique product to life.

Unsurprisingly, there were a few scrapped ideas along the way. Speaking about the creation of LEGO Super Mario with GamesIndustry, lead designer Jonathan Bennink said:

Nintendo Switch

Nintendo has prepared the latest system update for Switch. Starting today, all users can access version 10.0.3.

Those looking for major features or additions will unfortunately be disappointed. Nintendo says that the update includes “general system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience.”

Switch version 10.0.0 dropped in mid-April, which included new features like button remapping and an option to transfer data between the system memory and an SD card. It was then followed up with version 10.0.1’s stability improvements about a week later. Version 10.0.2 launched at the end of April and fixed an issue where a Switch console with version 10.0.0 or 10.0.1 wouldn’t set up a new Switch Pro Controller, sometimes causing incorrect joystick control.

Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition

Rather than just sprucing up the game and making some subtle changes, Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition actually has content not included in the original. Fans of the Wii title plus newcomers can play through Future Connected, an epilogue that takes place after the main story ends.

In this week’s issue of Famitsu, Monolith Soft president and creator Tetsuya Takahashi was asked about why Future Connected was created and its concept. In response, he explained:

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition isn’t the only notable release for Switch on May 29. 2K also has a trio of collections due out on the same day. BioShock: The Collection, Borderlands Legendary Collection, and XCOM 2 Collection are all dropping on May 29 as well. Even if you aren’t interested in any of them, they’re pretty notable since this is the first time we’re seeing these titles on a Nintendo platform.

So putting Xenoblade aside for a second, which one of these collections from 2K are you most interested in? Which releases will you be picking up on May 29 (or sometime down the road)? Let us know in the comments below.

The Silver Case

During an online version of MomoCon today, Suda51 appeared during a live stream. The No More Heroes director ended up answering a number of questions regarding his career both past and present.

At one point, Suda51 was asked about the possibility of some of his previous games landing on Switch. It sounds like there’s a decent chance of The Silver Case finding its way to the system since discussions have been held. As for Killer7 and Killer is Dead, that’d be up to Capcom and Kadokawa Games respectively.

Suda51’s translator relayed the following:
