Persona Q2

Persona Q2 is officially coming to 3DS, Atlus has revealed. A teaser site for the game is located here.

At the moment, the site only confirms that characters from Persona 5 will be featured in Persona Q2. No additional information is provided.

We’ll presumably be hearing more about Persona Q2 in the weeks and months ahead.

Famitsu has reported that Dragon Quest has sold a total of 2,080,806 copies in Japan within the first two days of the game’s release. The 3DS version of the game sold 1,130,468 copies, while the PlayStation 4 version sold 950,338 copies.

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is not your typical game. It makes sense then that during early development, Ubisoft considered a few different genres for the title.

Creative director Davide Soliani told Glixel that Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle was initially considered as a musical, or even a first-person shooter. He said:

“We started to scratch them out, one after the other. We went through a musical game, a first-person shooter game; but really the team is composed of mainly tactical fans.”

Soliani had also mentioned that, early on, a group of five people came up with 13 ideas. Most of these are a mystery.

Update: Version 3.0.1 addresses an issue in which the remaining battery charge isn’t displayed accurately. If the system’s battery power display suddenly increases or decreases, Switch owners are advised to follow these steps. You should see a gradual improvement.

Original: A new firmware update has just been issued for all Switch consoles. Version 3.0.1. is now available for download.

Thus far, Nintendo hasn’t shared any details about the update, but we don’t expect it to be as significant as the last one. That’s usually the case when we see small increase in version numbers.

We’ll update this post when we find out more about today’s update.

Nintendo prepared its latest Japanese tweet for Super Mario Odyssey. The company published two images, both of which are primarily intended to be used as wallpaper for smartphones.

Here’s where things get interesting. The pink moon shown in the wallpaper is a different color than the yellow moons we’ve seen in the Cascade Kingdom, suggesting that the Cheep Cheep one is separate. So based on that, we’d have at least seven kingdoms in Super Mario Odyssey.

They would be:

– Metro Kingdom
– Sand Kingdom
– Wooded Kingdom
– Luncheon Kingdom
– Cascade Kingdom
– Cap Kingdom
– Cheep Cheep Kingdom

We’re going off of the assumption that the Cascade Kingdom is separate from the areas we’ve seen with the Cheep Cheeps. That’s not absolutely confirmed, but it does make sense based on the moons.

The New 2DS XL is the hot new thing for Nintendo in the 3DS line right now, but the company hasn’t forgotten about the original 2DS. Next month, the big N will be shipping out a new bundle.

Consumers will soon be able to pick up a white-and-red 2DS system with New Super Mario Bros. 2. The game will come pre-installed. It’s slated for August 25 at a $79.99 price point.

Doug Bowser, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, said in a statement:

“Nintendo 2DS is the ideal system for parents that want to introduce their kids to the creative world of Nintendo that they grew up with. Its budget-friendly price and huge library of games will provide hours of entertainment for the whole family – whether after school, on the weekends or even while traveling.”
